El Chaltén Santa Cruz
El Chalten is located really at south in Patagonia Argentina. It's a destination nobody can ever forget once you were there. 
The name Chaltén comes from a Tehuelche word meaning "smoking mountain," due to a cloud that usually forms in the top of the mountain, and it was considered sacred by them. The mountain is the symbol of the Santa Cruz Province.

The lagoon called Laguna de los Tres, which is reached after a climb that takes an average of five hours. The view is wonderful. You can get a spectacular view of Fitz Roy from his feet, Laguna de los Tres, Glacier, Laguna Sucia.
El Chalten landscape quality has a hard to describe in words we have those who visit.
It is an ideal place for outdoor activities like hiking, trekking, horseback riding among others. The boldest enjoy the sports or activities such as climbing or surfing the cold waters. Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre are the two highest peaks in the region.

El Chalten Santa Cruz has several attractions, the city split paths to various natural wonders, including: Lagoon and Glacier Torre, Laguna Capri, Glaciar Piedras Blancas and Chorrillo del Salto.
