The Freelancer.com community welcomes ProjectLinkr.com! We are happy to announce that Freelancer.com has acquired the assets of this well-known online marketplace focused mainly on the Spanish-speaking market. It is Freelancer.com's second acquisition in 2015, after acquiring Israeli freelance job aggregator DoNanza two weeks ago.

Matt Barrie, CEO of Freelancer.com said, "This transaction will be a valuable asset for our Freelancer community and reinforces our continual efforts to expand our marketplace into each and every language worldwide. Spanish is the third largest language spoken after English and Mandarin, and through this acquisition we are adding 140,000 new Spanish-speaking users to our strong existing community. As they migrate over, they will bring with them a wealth of experience, projects and valuable skills to reinforce our current marketplace as they in turn benefit from the thousands of jobs posted daily on Freelancer.com."

Projectlinkr.com CEO Lars Gehrmann said, "After five years of building the leading online jobs marketplace in Spain and one of the leading freelancer portals in Latin America, it is time for us to rethink what is needed for a freelancer today and the importance of international reach. Freelancer.com has proven to be the most innovative company in the market and it has a really global reach with 7.3 million projects posted. So, it will be the fastest way for our valuable users to get access to new projects on a worldwide basis."

Projectlinkr currently has over 140,000 registered members, who will become part of Freelancer's community of nearly 15 million users. They will now be able to join the thousands of projects posted daily on the site in over 750 job categories, including data entry, graphic design, translation, Web development, and more.
