Bustard tourism enterprises is a new startup company which emphasises authentic wilderness experiences in Africa. The company owns one camp at this point - Gugulisizwe, meaning pride of the nation.

The value proposition of the camp is as follows:

Business Definition: “ a service based business which operates in happy customers and pristine wilderness areas

- Authentic wilderness experiences
- Affordable
- Simple
- Beautiful sites
- Camps in areas where there are no other camps and where the only people are the nearby substicnce communities. Technology does not function where Bustard owns camps and the wilderness area forces the clients to engage with animals, birds, marine life, trees, grass and the natural world
- The brand is authentic but at the same time does not take itself to seriously as it aims to attract younger people to the camps.
- The brand aims to engage with a model of eco tourism which means a happy community engagement, a well structured effort of conservation of wilderness areas, happy customers and happy owners!
- We love leatherback and green turtles, starred robins, buff spotted fluff tails, bustards, water berry trees, village indigo birds and Pink throated long claws
- The Gugulisizwe camp is in the middle of a reserve which prides itself on its scuba diving, turtle egg laying season, pristine empty beaches and rural inner coast.
- Key to the business is the incredible service delivery, in fact we aim to make every single customer feel as though their experience was planned years before and laid out in the stars.
- The brand name is derived from an African bird species, the bustard.
- The bustard has various sub species, one of which is the heaviest flying bird in the world, the kori bustard.
- The brand one day aims to expand itself from being merely one version of the sub species but into multiple. Ie if the kori bustard represents our camps that are located near the ocean, one day the Ludwigs bustard may represent camps that reside in the grasslands and another sub species of bustard may represent the desert.
- Similar brands include wilderness safaris and & Beyond, both of which have target markets in slightly higher class as Bustard is far more affordable than the aforementioned brands

The logo needs to reflect this information and create a feel of the authentic wilderness!
