  Hello,
  
  To all who have participated. Thank you for all of your works. I saw many great designs, but the nature of the "contest" is to award just one artist.
  
  Some works, I truly hated parting with. For example, one character submitted would have been great as a sports team mascot. However, this being for a children's' book series, decisions had to be made with this in mind.
  
  The contest will end in a few hours. If you have any work you would like considered, please submit for consideration.

  Another thing they have in common is that they each have an exaggerated FACIAL feature that represents the animal. Mickey's big ears, Daniel Tiger's thick stripes, Peppa Pig's huge snout, etc.
  
  Also, instead of just making a generic bird, please try to represent a specific bird: duck, owl, eagle, sparrow, ostrich, penguin, etc.
  
  Please see if such designs can be incorporated into your representation of a bird character.

  I am looking for a character that is a bird, but not in the traditional sense. For example, Peppa Pig is a pig, but not a traditional looking pig. Mickey Mouse is a mouse, but not a traditional looking mouse either. Chipmunks, Bugs Bunny, Daniel Tiger, etc... to me, it seems as if all successful cartoon characters are animals but not in the traditional sense appearance wise.
