A youth/childrens string orchestra needs a logo. It is going to be used in branding, on websites, letters etc.
The logo should use the short version of the orchestra: HEBU, with variant with the full name: Hedmarken barne- og ungdomsorkester.
In addition, there should be a graphical element with more or less abstract connection.

The string orchestra consists of children/young adults from 8 to 17 years, and the instruments used are violin, viola and cello. The orchestra plays mainly classical music.

There is an old website on www.hebu.no. This is going to be renewed, but old site can be used to understand general concept of the orchestra.

No doubt that is a beautiful Logo, but tell us does it depict an Orchestra? Those of us who tried to reflect your Institution tried to reflect your Orchestra, not single artist, music piece or instrument!

  It's a symbol for string instruments, a metaphor. Sometimes you have to choose to depict the most important thing. You can't put everything in a logo. I have one entry which suggest an orchestra, but they chose this one.
