I need a cover front cover design for an ebook I am in the process of editing.

I have no images or concept art so please read the description of the setting and the characters and let your imaginations run wild. I'll always answer queries and questions if you feel like you need more detail before starting your design.

As I can't guarantee the eBook will sell I won't be offering any ongoing royalties and will need to own the image exclusively but I will happily list your name on the dedication page along with any URL's to online portfolios which I hope might attract some extra attention to the winner.

I ask that the final submission be in at least a JPEG and a pdf.

The ideal size is 1000 x 1600 pixels

It must have the eBook title which is "Ranger" and the author name (me) shown as "K F Williams"

A quick history behind the novel is that Earth and another world called Favlas which is full of magic and mythical creatures are joined by a ribbon of energy which allows free passage between the two worlds.

The book is written from the first person perspective of Amelia Solstice, a sixteen year old girl who finds herself kidnapped by a magic wielding Ranger of Favlas, a unique kind of magic user who specialise in spells and skills which are used in defending animals and protecting the wild-landscape of Favlas.

Abandoned by her kidnapper and unable to return home to Earth due to instability of her new magical powers she has to adapt to her new status and job with the help of an experienced mentor.

Amelia is described as having short brown hair, green eyes and a healthy fit build. She ends up favouring the bow as her weapon of choice.

Her mentor is a Centuar the legs of the horse are long and surprisingly thin like those of a thoroughbred racer then of a working animal. They supported a body that was muscular without being bulky and he is an unusual soft soot grey colour with a scatter of midnight black speckles over the flank that was gifted with a long white grey tail that issmooth and well cared for and even appeared to be trimmed neatly. The the body of a man, is strong and fit and had short fine hair in the same soft grey colour that was more natural than aged, the body and face of him looks about forty.

The book is mostly set on the outskirts of a remote town in the Favlain mountains in an orchard complete with wooden two storey ranch style houses.

I want to thank everyone for taking part, though there were several great entries I decided on #18 for several reasons which included the image of earth and the Nexus bridge, the mountains and town of Elgin in the distance. The image of Amelia is a girl and in contrast to her surroundings is wearing jeans and a jacket.

I hope to be posting a new contest soon as I spend a lot of time writing and have decided to try and commission covers for all of them.

My questions are as follows:
- The girl was abducted gate or magical vortex?
- Where she comes into the world? (castle, field, forest, boulder, hill, etc.).
- The wizard will look like?
- The kind of clothes she wears?

  -She comes into the world inside a city in remote mountains that is surrounded by a forest (this is more woodland than tropical), she arrives in a large open courtyard of cobbles, but most of the story is set at the edge of the city where there is an orchard with has large two levelled ranch style houses made of wood.
  
  There is no Wizard. If you mean the person who abducted her then there is no need for him to be on the cover he isn't a main character in the book. If you mean the centaur who trains her then there is a full description of him on the summary.
  
  She wears simple conservative clothes of shirts and linen trousers during her training but also has times when she wears jeans and tee's.

  There are no age restrictions for the book, there are a couple of 'bad' words if you like your average 10 year old could pick up in the playground, though I do make than effort to describe the fighting in detail its not overly graphic, as she is learning, not adept. Hope this helps.

I don't have any examples or samples I will always give stars to any submissions and leave comments if there are bits I like or dislike, rejects will be rare and only if I don't see any attempt on putting content from the summary into the picture.
