And @iGotEpicSkillz i am not calling you a bad designer but a pice of advice that there is no need for your age, location, hobbies, games and your last words to be shown shown on the hire me widget! By personal information, the contest holder meant you reviews and your work samples not your age location and games stuff!

p.s. please keep in mind that this is very bad drawn example and elements in the middle who represent web design graphical design and other stuff are lookin very bad with those simple shapes, but that was the only way to sent you almost complete wireframe b4 the contest end. Check my avatar. Its part of one epic 3d site that im goin to release. I can make the skill card look in the same isometric 3d way and it will give such a pleasent feelin that people will wanna print it and give em to others like todays bussiness cards.

most of entries represent widgets with one face and text hire me. We shouldnt hire designers just by the type they looks or even by their name. Everyone can change his personality in internet and can put different name or picture or both. Thats like to make 'visit me' card for web sites, where people can click it and visit the site, but to put only the name or the title of the site, or one small image. Of course no one will click on that widget, cuz the vital info for the website will be missin. The skill card can be also posted in forums and facebook statuses and it will look great and freelancers will feel proud of it, because it wont be just a widget with their picture and name written on it, but a cool and hard obtainable skill card who will represent them and their inner world to everyone, better than facebook and twitter did.

damn i press enter by mistake and it dont let me to edit. Anyway. So i feel bad for makin it so complicated, but i think that i can make that card look astonishing if you gimme time and freedom to design it properly. I plan to remove the tech parts and the corners, and to make the bg look like 3d. I can make 2 variants with light and dark backgronds. My idea is that every freelancer should posses his own unique Skill Card, instead of typical 'Hire Me' card, so they will be easily recognisable, they will be proud of obtaining this card and some of them will be able to print it on bussiness cards. This Skill Card can easily replace todays Portfolio Web Stes, the personal bussiness cards and the empty of content 'hire me' cards. Think about it :)

1/2 damn im tired after whole night work its 7 am here and i cant explain properly my vision. But just imagine future where most of works will be worked by robots and there will be 30 times more it specialis than now. Imagine if they have created something like second Id card but with their skills instead of their social info. Imagine world where every freelancer or it specialist have a small black card in his pocket, and if he wanna get get a job he must only show this card. In this future normal hire me cards wont survive a day. Imagine if there are 10 logo designers livin at your street and 10 times more at 100m range. How will you choose the best one?

1 2/2 Nowadays we got hundreds of freelancers claimin to be 'pro' and askin to be hired. But their 'Hire me' cards are all the same. The only different thing is the the design. In this contest you want cool lookin but still useless 'Hire Me' card. You want to produce hundreds of same-lookin cards, where the only difference will be the picture the name and the stars of the freelancer.

2 So if i have 5 different 'Hire Me' cards of 5 people who look almost same to me and they all got almost same level of stars, then the only thing that i will learn will be their names. I dont think that anyone wanna take decision based only on the name of a people, not based on his skills. So I think that the perfect 'Hire Me' card should contains skills as well, but thats almost impossible, because its very hard to understand the true skill of one guy (its not impossible, i got a scheme here..)

3 You need to make options for the freelancers to choose their top skill, their 2 secondary skills, and if they wish 2 additional skills. I didnt have enough time to make symbols for this, but for me personally I choose Web Design as top skill, logo and concept design as secondary skills, and UI and Typography as additional. We can make unique icons to represent them in non-verbal way, so when someone sees a 'Hire Me' card, he would be able to see on prima vista the top skill of guy. Right now is very hard to understand who is a Logo Designer and whos a Web Designer.

4 There is also option for 5 choosen by the freelancer portfolio images, so clients will be able to see the maximum potencial of someone just by seeing his top works. At left side we have logo space and abilities list. We can make list with 30-40 mind&body abilities (like in RPG) and people will be able to choose their top 7 abilities. Some people in the social marketing can choose sociality and marketing in their list of abilities, some writters may choose fast-writing, good-memory, agility, fast-working, and etc. Thats just sample, we can choose better names for the abilities.

5 At right side we have picture of the freelancer, because I think that its honest if you put the future of your brand in the hands of unknown stranger, its honest at least to know his face. Aaand it make good symmetry with the logo. Under it we have something that you may find useless but I found it genius. The style. Im personally a psychologist and I understand very good the difference between the worlds of the different people. First time when i participated seriously in contest i almost won it (2nd place cuz first guy make something similar but in different position) no matter that my style was dark and aggressive, the contest holder liked it.

6 So its very important to show your style to the world. Those days style is everything. From Facebook to Twitter everyone is tryin to show his own style and to express his own inner world. If i see 10 'Hire Me' cards of 10 different guys, all in same field, all with same abilities and almost same portfolio then i will choose the one who listen the same music as me or likes the same things who i like. Just because I will know that this guy got the same way of thinking.
I put the salary under the Hire me button, so people will be able see the button before they see the big salary of the choosen freelancer.
It can be developed more and it can be made vertical or easily posted on bussiness card. But first you must approve it.- 9 años atrás

didnt have time to make the images in the middle so i used simple shapes to represent the top freelancer skills, portfolio is also empty and didnt have time to make some correction and to fill those spaces at corners, but still only one freelancer logo at upper left corner stays good
