Resumen del concurso

We are looking for art work for our food truck.

Our food truck will be run by ex-cons and former addicts that are in our program as an alternative to incarceration. We want to focus our truck art on concepts around freedom from the destructive cycles of drug addiction and the criminal behavior that accompanies it.

Our non-profit name is The Other Side Academy. It is a two-year re-educational residential program where our residents learn how to live lives free from addiction and free from criminal behavior, all at no cost to the residents. We don't take any money from the government and we support ourselves by running training school businesses like this food truck.

We are running three different contests to explore three different aspects of freedom. Feel free to join all three contests. A winner will be selected in each contest.

In this contest, we want to explore the concept of barbed wire dissolving into something free like birds or people. We want to show the past behavior that kept us captive and the future live where we are free from the additions and toxic behavior that have trapped us. I have attached a document that shows some images or concepts that appeal to us.

At this stage, we are looking at just the art and design. Do not work about how it might fit onto the food truck. Clean designs will be better than cluttered designs. If we like your design and decide to move forward, we may engage you in another project to help us create the artwork for the entire truck so we can then wrap it.

We will select a winner, but there is no guarantee that we will decide to move forward with your design for any additional work.
