Oliver Parker - Close Up Magician

Time for a fresh, clean and simple logo to represent myself as a friendly, professional close up magician with dreadlocks who specialises in corporate, wedding and private party entertainment (not children's entertainment).

My current design is a vector sketch of my face and dreadlock hair holding a fan of playing cards but is old and too detailed - this does not work well at small sizes...

So, I'm looking for something that still represents myself but that is clean, simple and easy to see even on a small scale - usable both at large print sizes for banners and video but also smaller on business cards, letterheads etc.

I envisage something in between my current vector sketch and the simple Crumpler logo.... Perhaps a simplified dreadlock whipping head figure springing playing cards from hand to hand like in the attached photo.

Please include the text 'Oliver Parker' 'Close Up Magician' and make use of black outlines and dark red for any highlights or contrast.

  Hey! Wow! Super impressive, but unfortunately doesn't really look like me and is over detailed for what I'm looking for. I love your idea though, maybe this could work for something different from a logo without the top hat, that resembles me a bit more and slightly more up to date clothing... I'm trying to get away from the traditional magician image with the top hat and fancy dress clothing.
  For this particular logo I think I'll go with one of the simpler icons, but thanks a lot for your time and effort, maybe we can work together to develop your idea further for a different project in future :)
