The site will be all about watches from many hundreds of brands and thousands of various models. The benefit to consumer is that it will be easy to navigate and find the watch of your choice from multiple stores in one place. The concept will be reapplied to other categories in the future and the logo should be transferable to these other sites. The name of the site "meerhorloges" should be prominent. The idea we have is to use a icon in the logo that can be replaced by another icon once we open up a site for a different category (eg. sunglasses). Keywords that might inspire are:
- transferable to other categories (watches, sunglasses, toys, etc)
- fashionable
- classy/ high end
- grey/ black/ white are the main colours of the site
- clean as the pages will be full of different pictures of watches
- to be used in multiple ways (newsletters, banners, paper, etc) therefore needed in different formats (eps, vector, jpg, etc)

- thrustworthy as you buy real brands from real stores
- abundance; we will cary a wide range of brands/ stores/ types of watches

hi all, thanks for the submissions. I came across this logo http://www.laverdadmarketing.com/ and the font and style I like. This combined with a stylish icon similar to the one used in #3 and composition of word+ icon of #13 I think would look good as well as playing with the words "meer" and "horloges" which are essentially two words and give emphasis to one of the two. This is a common abstract form for logo. There's always a possibility to similar to something. I'm not interested to know how similar it is but thanks for finding that.

Hi thanks for this. Although it looks nice it limits the use of the icon. In this set-up it always needs to be part of the word and I do not want to do that as it might be we will start in categories where that becomes too difficult and it becomes a gimmick. If possible I would like the word "meer" emphasized and the icon should refelt what can be found on the site. Thanks.

Hi, regarding #3 on 2nd thought I like the grey versions. Is it possible to make bold the section "meer" and play a bit more with the darker bit of the circle? What do you think of making the circle a magnifying glass, very subtle of course? The font we use on the site are arial, hevetica, sans-serif family?

hi everyone, thanks for the submissions. I have responded on each private board. The background of the site is white and key items I would like reflected are: abundance of choice, quality and trustworthiness. Also the name should be prominent and I need to be able to change one element (icon+ name) so I can use it for other site while it will still be consistent and recognizable that they belong to the same family. Thanks!
