this is most likely cabinet file issue you need to re download msvs from different source and reinstall make sure that old [login to view URL] is not running in background

Hi, Please check the following I believe the culprit is the Web Authoring Component, it has to be installed manually: 1. Extract (not copy) the .exe in the WebDesignerCore folder of your installation DVD to a folder on your HD 2. Run the extracted .exe 3. Change the installation path, replace C:\\ by C:\ Please let me know the results of this. Thanks

I had the same problem as you but with installing VS 2010 on win 7. But I found the way how to install without any problem.
