A very Old Man with Enormous Wings

My research needs to be based on the story, A very Old man with enormous wings by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I need the following elements on my research:

1) The Research Literary Criticism should be developed with Mythological Criticism tool, which is A central concept in mythological criticism is the archetype, a symbol, character, situation, or image that evokes a deep universal response”

2) Theme of this Research is a social criticism that uses Magic Realism. I need to focus on two thing mainly: A) the mentality of ignorant people to an unknown situation. B) Shallowness in people nowadays.

3) Research Paper Prompt:

My research needs to be developed. A research paper on a single work is similar to an essay on the same work, except that the research paper takes into account more views and facts than those you are likely to have without the research.

Summarry of what I want:

My research paper will be on A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings by Gabriel García Márquez. Because I have chosen a mythological criticism, I will try focus in the symbolic meaning of the characters, and their situation to obtain a better understanding in this genuine story. The themes I will use to develop my research the mentality of people to unknown things, and shallowness in people nowadays. These themes end up showing us the reality in this century, how people are selfish and do not have compassion between each other. Besides, I would like to let the readers know how society rules our lives because we (people) are looking to get in higher level within this hierarchy, what we call society. My analysis will be based on internal and external problem, ideas within the story.
