This is an economics assignment. 1500 words. 1. You are to select a newspaper/magazine/web article for microeconomic analysis. a. Article must relate to one or more of the topics (chapters 1 – 5, AND chapter 11 if you wish(will be provided) covered in the lecture notes. b. The main article must have been written after 1st January, 2014. c. Article can be internationally focused, so long as it’s in English. d. You may, if you wish (strongly recommended), back up some of your key points or use for data purposes by having several relevant supplementary articles—either from peer-reviewed journals or other news sources. You should cite your other sources via appropriate in-text referencing. e. Your graphs (i.e. diagrams) can either be hand-drawn and then scanned into a PDF, or drawn by using appropriate computer/web software. 2. 1400-1600 words (excluding reference list).
