add additional features to an existing android app

Hello, I have some questions regarding the updates; first of all i would like to know how do you want the id# scanning to be managed; The id# will be become a new field in the database ? The user will have two options when he uses the app - scan serial/scan id ? The second thing i need to know is about the 'toner request': where is the recommended toner part number and description coming from? do you have a database that should be implemented in the app?
