I need a win app that i can install on a windows machine (xp and greater) that will help me make sure my sites are up and running and most important working
This is different than standard pinging since i actually want to simulate a login and then make sure it is logging in quickly.
There are two pages that have login on them, you will need to be able to handle both of them. I think you can simulate a login by manipuating the http request etc.. it should be pretty easy
in the admin i will provide 1 or more urls in a config area as well as credentials for each of the domains. i will also set the increement of time between logins.
after login we will see how long the response is, if after X amount of time we are not logged in we will send emails to specified email addresses. Admin configures this as well
I will also need you to enable the admin to set smtp info so the email system works without much intervention. We will send to 1 or more emails if this happens
I will help with the ui of the win form since i am picky about design.
The application can install as a service, that is fine but i do need a ui, so i am not sure if this means you need to do remoteing to make the service and the ui forms work together. let me know your method here.
The email i will also want to define, it should be a plain text email, include the fail count, the domain and the user name attempted. after the system is back up i would like it to send a message that things are back up and working
this is similiar to many of the ping sites but as you see i want logins.
App should uninstall easily.
c# .net 3.5 config stored in xml, profiles(user/pass should be hashed sha 256 and stored in the xml)
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
