With that said I would like to ask if you want me to stream line the app or make it easier for the end user. Such as creating a button to exit versus typing "x", or when the program comes across bad data(as described in section 6) it allows the user to edit it and fill it in. If this is for a homework assignment though, I understand the full restrictions and have no problem completing it to spec. Get you that A+ ;). Hi, your project is quite simple. I should have a first version at latest by Monday next week. Unfortunately I won't have any time on the weekend. I have some additional questions about your requirements: 1. Does the application need to be implemented using Windows Forms (my suggestion would be using WPF) 2. Shall the user be able to select a specific data file? 3. After editing a record, shall only the record be saved into a new file or the whole data file with the changed record? 4. Shall the user be able to select the file to where the record(s) shall be saved into? 5. Is a separate dialog necessary for editing records? 6. For displaying the records, sorting and editing I would recommend a DataGrid (like excel) which would allow viewing all records at the same time, showing more than only 10 records. So, how strict are your requirements here? 6a. another suggestion could be a combo box containing all records (showing last and first name) where the user can select the record to be shown/edited.
