We have a C# code that reads async from a serial port. This is done byte by byte until an entire frame has arrived. Then this frame is processed and passed on. Using this method we have experienced some loss of data and therefore a more efficient method is needed. We would like a code that uses two different async tasks. A high priority task that only reads from the serial port and passes this data into some kind of buffer. Then a second task with lower priority which reads data from the buffer, processes it, and passes it on. The code we are currently using is attached.
