PART to FULL TIME We are looking for a dynamic, experienced Bookkeeper who is willing to assist with office management. You are highly meticulous, have an attention to detail and take pride in your work, and work product. In this position you will be the lead financial master and a vital part of the team. We are an upscale business management firm, providing services to individuals. The work environment is a team atmosphere that is collaborative. MUSTS: - Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting terms - Detailed oriented, meticulous, highly organized even when under pressure - Ability to problem solve, think on one's feet and resolve matters effectively - Takes initiative and able to follow through with little to no direction - Exceptional communication skills; both verbal and written. - Advance knowledge of Quicken or QuickBooks (including running reports, inputting stocks, bonds, and other investments, print checks, set up files) - PC computer literate (advance at Excel, Word, Outlook/email and surfing the www) - Ongoing interest in further ones education to stay-up-to-date on bookkeeping and accounting skills. - Excellent phone skills, able to follow up with vendors and troubleshoot - Time efficient while maintaining accuracy - Work autonomously with minimal direction - Even disposition while under pressure, able to work with a wide array of personalities - Reliable and committed. TASKS / SKILLSET TO INCLUDE - Maintain accurate and organized financial records - Recognize and solve vendor / client issues - Prepare checks for vendors within set timelines - Prepare and make deposits - Prepare monthly reports within time limits. - Reconcile banking and investment statements - Organize report/documents for tax - Able to adapt and change quickly to procedures and needs Ideally, but not mandatory, familiar with court (probate) accountings. We are particular about united states based client only!!!
