DO NOT BID ON THIS PROJECT UNLESS YOU ARE PROFICIENT IN THE FOLLOWING:

1. CADENCE TOOL SUITE

2. ORCAD SCHEMATIC

3. ALLEGRO PCB LAYOUT

4. PSPICE CIRCUIT SIMULATION

5. CREATION OF SIMULATION MODELS

-USING PART DATASHEETS AND INTERFACE WITH IC MFG, VIA S-PARAMS AND OTHER DATA,

6. ADS, AWR, AWS, OR OTHER PROVEN PCB SIMULATION TECHNIQUE POST LAYOUT

Working together, take an existing design, update it, simulate it, modify it per simulation. Board layout, and finally layout simulation. The schematic is in Orcad, initial simulation in PSpice, Layout in Allegro. Board Simulation in ADS or AWR or both. The design must be corrected first to:

1. Modify front end to operate at 500MHz or higher

2. Must drive the RF power FETs

3. Must move output transformer to a daughter board

4. Includes layout of planar transformer daughter board

This board and the transformer daughter board must be done in coordination with a concurrent layout of a slower analog version of this board. The purpose of this is to make the job simpler and reduce duplication of effort.

The amplifier boards and the transformer daughter boards must have the same external x-y dimensions and in addition must coordinate with the company and other layout team/person to use the same:

1 Power supply connector

2 Output connectors

3 LVDS connector

4 As many common parts as practical e.g. decoupling caps, tranzorbs, power connectors and resistors, etc.

5 Supply voltages (VSS_PLUS, VDD_PLUS and VPP_PLUS

6 Heat sink (optional but ideal) Company will supply

7 Board shield (optional but ideal) Company will supply

Detailed information will be provided on a need to know basis and only for bidders that are able to demonstrate clear excellence in the above skills and after filling out the NDA. In addition, the freelancer and all team members must be FLUENT IN ENGLISH AS UNDERSTOOD AND SPOKEN IN THE US, CANADA, UK, AUSTRALIA OR EU.
