Working for QS Consultant for 3.5 years. Im using Excel for taking off still the best program since I tried using Atles and other programs. Familiar with standard measurement like SMM, HKSMM,SMM7 etc. Quantity to be submitted can guarantee accurately measured.

My name is Dave Davis and I have over 25 years of executive level business management experience in the commercial and residential construction industries. Although I have extensive field experience running work in the field as a superintendent, construction manager and a project manager, approximately 13 years ago I began to focus on estimating and other pre-construction activities. Prior to becoming a full time freelancer, I was the Vice President of Pre-Construction Services for a mid sized Washington D.C. area general contractor. In this role I was responsible for all estimating functions including preparing detailed takeoffs as well completing conceptual and competitive bids. Projects included base building, renovations, restaurants and tenant work. Before joining that firm I was the Vice President of Purchasing for a top 10 national homebuilder and real estate developer. In this role I was responsible for contracting all goods and services used in the construction of single family and town homes as well as a significant number of multi-family condominiums. In this roles I also oversaw estimating and budgeting. I personally prepared budgets on all major projects including the completion of all takeoffs. I also spent a number of years working as Senior Estimator for two other Washington D.C. general contractors as well. During my time with those companies I was responsible for all takeoffs and the preparation of all budgets and bids. Projects included base buildings, hotels, churches, tenant fit outs, renovations to existing buildings and government buildings. I am experienced in estimating all trades. I utilize several different on screen takeoff tools to digitize plans. I can start immediately. Please see attached partial project list as well as an example of a detailed estimate. My bid is based upon 10 hours of estimating work.
