We are TaxiService and want to adjust our taximeter prices to be CHEAPEST of all taxi companies in our area. We need an Excel-based Calculation Sheet which can open/read several Excel Documents, each containing competitors prices, and calculate what-if for all possible TimeOfDay/time/distance combinations and suggest how we should price our services so we are just a fraction below our competitors.
The Excel documents containing competitors prices, have identical layout and data, and serves as input for calculation. One excel input document per competitor. Taximeter prices depend on DayOfWeek and TimeOfDay. FareCalculation depend on TypeOfBooking, DistanceTravelled and DurationOfTrip. MinimumFare is applied.
The resulting Excel Document should open each of the InputDocuments and find the lowest fare for every combination 1-100km and 1-100minutes throughout the day and week, for 3 different types of bookings (Hailed Taxi, PhoneOrdered Taxi, PreBooked Taxi).
The calculation Excel Document should then suggest how we should set our fares to ensure that we are "just a tiny bit" cheaper than the next one.
Enclosed is a sample ExcelDocument containing fares for one taxi service. There will be 8-10 such documents being read. The end result should be a similar document for our fares...
