Avatar illustration/graphical UI

Design brief: To illustrate a set of cartoon avatar components, and develop a simple program that will allow for an end user to create their avatar, and export to a high quality image. Illustration style needs to be professional, these avatars will be used on the back of business cards. However the point of this exercise is portraying ourselves as a young, fun company. An example of the type of style we’re looking for can be found here, we cannot use this as it’s an avatar made from a freeware app not for commercial use. There basically needs to be enough variety that everyone can create an avatar that vaguely resembles them, and that they will all look fairly different 15 x head shapes 15 x male hair 15 x female hair 15 x hair colour 15 x eyes 8 x eye colours 12 x skin tone colours 15 x male shirts 15 x female shirts 20 x jewellery options (necklaces, ear rings, lip piercing, etc) 20 x accessories (hats, scarfs, tie, etc) Please provide us with an example of some illustration and/or program (flash?) work you have done. The 2nd component of this project will be to create a graphical UI that we can roll out across the company, get them to create an avatar, export as a high res JPEG/PNG, and send to marketing department. This is recommended to create in flash, although HTML or any other suggestions are acceptable. This project is very time critical. We are launching a new brand in the new year, and need to roll this out among 50 employees with time for print production before launch. Due date: Ideally by the Christmas/NY break (23rd December), although if not the absolute latest we’d need this by is 10th January. You will be required to work on a strict deadline, and provide status updates with progress and illustration examples of work done so far. We look forward to hearing from you!
