Hello, my name is Anthony Gertz and I would like the opportunity to assist you with your project. As per my qualifications, for my nine to five job I am an Emergency Management Consultant who develops natural hazard risk assessments for cities, counties, and states. A large portion of this are GIS driven assessment maps that often require custom built GIS layers, geocoding, and the use of various ArcGIS extensions such as Spatial Analyst and Network Analyst.
For my nine to five job, I often have to georeference outdated flood imagery (FIRMs) and occasionally USACE dam failure studies from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. I’ve even georeferenced dam failure inundation maps from the early 1950s in rural New Mexico. Instead of relying on roads (which looked nothing like they do today) I was able to accurately georeference the files according to topographical and other relatively static features. Needless to say, I am quite adept at using this GIS function as well as being determined to achieve the highest level of accuracy that is reasonably possible.
Please take a moment to view my portfolio and reviews. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Anthony J. Gertz
