Looking for artwork made for a website for fantasy d20 ("Dungeon and Dragons" style) info.

This website is a wiki database and needs icons and small graphics to show up dynamically based on the type of content.

We've got that part handled, but don't have the actual artwork.

What we want first is artwork in three styles (see below) for 3-4 of the items in the list in a "draft" style to let us choose between style. This step doesn't need finished work, but at least enough to give us a solid idea of the finished product. Which of the items is up to you for this step.

See Deliverables for the full list of images needed.

## Deliverables

Once a style is chosen, then we'll want similarly styled art on all of the items in a final form.

Artwork needs to be set up with transparent background (png preferred).

We want to at least look at a style that is made up of stylized stick figures - maybe a happier (and colored when appropriate) version of artwork at:

<[url removed, login to view]>

Another style we want to look at is "cartoony". Happy kid's cartoon style - maybe something like "Teen Titan's" or similar.

At least one more set we want to not recommend at all and just see what you can come up with to see if your personal style is something that we couldn't have thought of. Our goal, however, is to keep things light and happy, even silly, even when the game is about killing dragons and demons.

If you aren't familiar with D&D or d20, there are many resources out there, or feel free to ask any questions you may have.

The set of drawings we'll need in this bid will include:

Equipment:

Armor

Shield

Weapon (at least three varieties, at least one sword)

Classes:

A Fighter

A Rogue

A Wizard

A Sorcerer (note - wizard is more "scholarly" than a sorcerer. Uses a spellbook and can be older. Sorcerer "shoot from the hip" with magic. Think jock vs. nerd spellcasters?)

A ranger (woodsy, bow weilding)

A Paladin (holy champion)

A Cleric

A Bard

A Monk (mideval Jackie Chan or other beat-em-up type)

Races: (physical descriptions of these are available if you want that info in advance - need to be obvious who they are, but otherwise can be doing/wearing anything - you should be able to see the elf's ears, for instance, as that is the most obvious feature of theirs unless it's made clear some other way).

Human

Elf

Half-Elf

Half-Orc

Dwarf

Gnome

Halfling

The people (races and classes) should have distributed genders if the artwork is such that you can easily tell genders. I would round slightly more male than female, but the ratio should be generally close.

Spells:

Someone casting a mind-control spell on someone else

Someone casting a fireball on someone/something (think Wile-e-Coyote explosion).

Spell Types (These will be small icons near spell that indicate their school/type of magic. The can be abstract or something specific as long as the style is similar to others and somehow conveys the type of magic):

Conjuration

Transmutation (chaging something into another)

Illusion

Necromancy

Divination

Abjuration ("force" effects - can be someone creating a field of some sort about themselves, or could be a symbol of a wall bouncing magic off it, or something else. Hard to pin down, but we have some ideas and can run more to you if needed)

Enchantment

Evocation - blow 'em up spells

Magic Items (these can involve people or not at your discretion):

General "treasure" pile - chest surrounded by gold or similar

"magic" treasure - someone picking up a glowing sword, or just a pile of glow.

Potion(s)

Scroll

Wand

Staff (tall wand)

Magic sword

Magic Shield

Magic Armor

Magic Ring

(how you want to show something as magical is up to you)

Other:

A magic user (either variety) that is surrounded by small animals (familiars). At least a cat. They can be interacting with each other or just the caster.

General site image - image that is general to the site for use on the main page - maybe a few of the races or classes toghether getting ready to storm the castle, or open a door, or...

Logo - needs to incorporate the d20 logo (<[url removed, login to view]>) but should take that logo and work around it to make it look like it's integrated into the site - maybe someone's sitting on it, or opening it up like it was the side of a chest, or something more original than that. If the words "database" can be added in a look that is consistant with the other art underneath the logo, even better, but this is not a requirement.

---

Note again, that for the initial set, we only want to see a handful of these to look at before work starts on the whole set, but once a style is chosen, we'll want the entire list done.

Sizes are flexible, but should be approximately:

Logo - 135px square (only fixed size, may be able to be taller if needed)

Spell Schools - 120-150px

Spells - up to 200px wide, height isn't as important. For right artwork we can hang it horizontally if needed and it can be wider, but we'd need to hear an idea about it first.

People - Generally 200px wide and any height. Can vary based on what they're doing.

Items (magic and regular): 120-150px square

Items (piles): up to 200px square

Group picture or whatever is on main page, up to 300px wide

These are the initial pictures we're looking for. We need many more in secondary sets so would prefer someone who would like addional work as it is needed.

If you have artwork on the web or that you can attach that demonstrates your style of art, please send info on how to see them. This isn't a request to have you mock up any of the above images (please don't) as we're more interested in seeing your style of artwork.

1) All artwork must be in an immediately usable format - end product should be PNG, but the draft images until final approval can be in any format agreed upon and viewable by the buyer.

2) Images will be sent to the buyer before final approval of each image - these can be sent individually or in groups, and in any order. Seller can expect a maximum of a two day turnaround on images until final approval.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).

## Platform

Web based - png files preferred.
