I have a 3D design in IGES format that needs to be completed and prepared for 3D printing. The file is partially complete, I am looking for someone who will complete this file, following the same format as the completed half. It should take a maximum of 1 hour 30min to finish it. The 3D printing requires the walls to be 2mm thick. I need the design to follow the previous method and create a double wall format. I will also need some editing to make openings in the inner wall. A second part of this project will be available upon the successful completion of the first part. This second part can be seen in the file Helmet [login to view URL] (attached), they are the top air scoop, and 2 scoops on the side. The deadline to complete the first part of this project is 4/15/2012. Please provide quote based on the full project. Thank you for your interest!

Hi Rule1, I checked out your files, the quality of the model is not so good (inverted vertices, not connecting surfaces, overlapping surfaces). Has you said it's not more than 1 hour 30min to finish the half helmet (even less) assuming we start from a good model. As I need to advertise myself I will offer you the model correction which is needed to produce a good .stl file required by 3D printing. My quote is based on the full project. Regards.

Hello, First of all, it is important to trim surfaces to create a shell, I take a look on your model and noticed that direction of normals in helmet surfaces are inverse. For 3d printing it is important to mesh object and mach mesh edges (with purpose to match mesh edges. The last operation is mesh offset with solidify option, after all operations the solid and meshed helmet 3d model )(*.stl) can be printed as well in any printing machine. Can do this with RhinoCeros.
