Academic Journal Front Cover Design

JSCE is an online academic journal. I have attached the front covers for Volume 1 and Volume 2. I am looking for a set of 6 front covers (Issue 1, Issue 2, Issue 3, Issue 4, Issue 5 and Issue 6) for Volume 3. I will need jpegs in 70dpi and 300dpi and the illustrator files. I want to simplify the design. The only text will be the issue number, the name of the journal and the ISSN number. I want to keep the shape which is an inverted SCE but I want the entire cover to look like one piece with the text and visual elements picked out in simple lines. I have included an image of a book cover that is the kind of thing I want. Please excuse the subject matter of the book, it is an unfortunate coincidence. I would like the covers to be two colors only. White for the text and lines and a solid modern, matt color for the background. Gradients may be Ok it depends how they look. The colors should not be the same as the Volume 1 colors and all 6 volumes should look consistent together. Please imagine them all on a shelf together.
