Design an Author Website

I will be developing a website for a book Author, and I need help on website design itself. The website will have some features that cater these information: - info and update from author (bio, news, interview, etc) - his thought and/or any inspiration from him (blog or mini blog) - review other book from his perspective - contest - selling the book via website (using simple feature only) The expectation was that visitor will not directly leave the website by the moment they open it, and visitor will return to the website later due to the benefits of the website itself. So some critical stuffs will include: - website design that can give the best and professional impression and promote important features/benefits - navigation should be well considered to enhance usability and make the website easier to use (better customer experience) - current web technology should be used to enhance performance For freelancer who wants to propose to this job, please include your portfolio and web design related experiences, and simply explain what concept you think would be suitable for the website.
