The below outlines a proposal for illustration and layout work on a graphic novel set on the battlefields of ancient Rome. The style will be principally B/W with splashes of color / color filters and backgrounds. Some examples of style and color include the following:

The total project will include 1 volume of work over a period of 2-3 months. The volume will be about 60 pages in length A4 size plus cover with 3-6 panels per page. This project will be broken into 3 distinct phases:
Phase 1: First 10 Pages
Phase 2: Pages 11-35
Phase 3: Pages 36-60

Each Phase will consist of the following deliverables:
Initial rough sketch of tiles (1 revision round)
Polished tile and layout with lettering (1 revision round)
Print file with completed layout
Step 1 to be provided as jpgs.
Step 2 to be provided as layered PSDs.
Step 3 to be provided as inDesign files or equivalent including source files and final 300dpi PDF print file.
All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer (Jeff Hortman) will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.

Payment will be tied to the completion of each Phase, as outlined above, along the following schedule:
Phase 1 completion = $1,000
Phase 2 completion = $1,000
Phase 3 completion = $2,777
Total payment for services will equal $4,777.
