Design a Website Mockup

I am building a website which presents content to users, much like a blog. The main focus will be a stream of articles in which the user has expressed interest. These will consist of a source, title (with link to full content), author, publication date and short description, possibly a general category (science, sports...) . If the user clicks on the link, they are taken to the source of the content where it can be read in full. The user will be able to rate articles and comment on them: each article will have a discussion tree associated with it, so different users viewing the same content can discuss the content. A less prominent stream will contain recommended articles, articles popular in the system, basically anything that it is possible the user might be interested in (whereas the main stream contains articles in which the user IS interested). If the user finds something of interest in the less prominent stream, they will be able to add that source to the list that determines what appears in the primary stream. A means of entering content sources is also needed--this will include an input box, a search feature and a list of recommendations. I am looking for a design that is simple, elegant and unobtrusive... minimalist. In the (near) future, I will also need a design for mobile devices.
