Coursework - JAVA - client/server application

Hello dear, For my JAVA coursework I need to write an application. First of all i need to create some theme of my coursework, and it should be confirmed by my teacher. If he confim it, then i can start to coding it. Requirements are: - client and server - communication over TCP/IP - many(multi) threads that are "fighting" for the resources - GUI on the client OR server side - it should not be a chat application When I offer my task to the teacher(before he approve it), i need to explain him: - description of multi threads - description of shared resource for which threads are "fighting" - possible scenarios when more than one thread need to use the resource If you think that you can help me with this work it will be great ;) PS: I'm a PHP developer, so I have only basic knowings in Java Best and I will waiting for your help ;) Al
