CGI Voting Script, JavaScript, and HTML Issue

I have three issues: a JavaScript, a CGI script, and an HTML issue.
(1) I have run an onload=trap script on my pages which prevents images from being taken from the
average web user. Unfortunately, when this script runs, it prevents the images on my voting form from
loading properly - IE works fine, but Firefox and Chrome don't. When the onload=trap script is removed
from the BODY tag, it works fine on all the browsers. I would like to configure the script (maybe have
the script load differently) so the trap function and the image replacement buttons work at the same
time.
(2) On the voting section, I have made an image for the Place Your Vote button. The voting form works
fine for the most part, but I don't know how to make the image button replace the HTML button in the
script. If possible, I would also like to limit the number of votes to 1 per browsing session to
prevent spamming of the script.
(3) My site is designed with 3 vertical columns and then a long horizontal column on the bottom of the page.
For some reason when my pages load, the left column stays flush left, but the middle column and the
right column move to the right side of the page as to align right but then after a couple of seconds
or quicker, the middle and right columns go back to place as if they are being overridden by a
predominant HTML order. I would like to know why this is happening so I can apply the patch to all of
my web pages.
