This is an Android application and very specific hardware as stated in the title. The application will be describe in as much detail as possible – to receive access to a detail Program Flow and Application mock-up applicants must sign a non-compete and NDA agreement.
The specification is close enough to the final requirements to limit price amendment to 20% up or down.
Platform: Android Platform 4.0 or higher only – specifically the Samsung Galaxy Note II and the Galaxy Tab 8 (IOS may be considered during later phases)
Description
A device will be delivering information to the mobile device. Development must support cable, WIFI AND Bluetooth connections between the device and the mobile device. The communication specification is as follows:

The format of the data transmitted from the device to the hand held is an ASCII string of comma separated values, ending with a carriage return character and then a newline character. The data will be transmitted once a second from the measurement device. The values are as follows

Tilt 0 to 45
Battery 1 to 100

This information must be recorded, analyzed, and stored on the mobile device (stored on SD card where applicable). The GPS coordinates must be determined and stored with the data. The application must translate the GPS location to MGRS – there is an open-source project that provide the code: [url removed, login to view]
The application must also be able to create a batch file to export/send multiple tests.
A formula will be provided – this formula will then be used to process the measurement data and plot a graph. The application must show the graph, allow for the graph and data to be emailed or printed.
Application will also allow the operator to manipulate the data in the report section. The application will be operated in landscape mode.
Printing of the data and graphs (reports) will be on a Bluetooth and USB Zebra printer
The application must allow for different contrast settings similar to GPS applications that switch between a day and night displays.
Application will provide color scheme differences to denote program functionality
Application will go through one review and testing phase with one revision to be completed by develop
Only USA based companies and people will be considered due to hardware integration and testing.
