[login to view URL] (WOB) is a custom web application written in C# and running off a single MSSQL Server 2005 database.? It’s built around an MVC architecture, using master pages and style sheets for its front end.
It has been decided that WOB will be integrated with the widely used DotNetNuke(DNN) CMS to make use of open source code and serve as a platform for content administration and creation.? ? For this to happen components within the custom application must be converted into DNN modules and installed into the DNN portal site.? A DNN portal has been created for WorkoutBox here [login to view URL]
The purpose of Phase 1 of the project is to port across the essential components of WOB needs to launch the DNN site.? On completion, and using the knowledge gained further site components will be converted to modules and ported across.
Among WOB’s features is a Workout Builder, which allows workouts and exercises to be created and populated into the WOB database. This DOES NOT need porting to DNN at this stage. I simply just want the DNN modules and the WorkoutBuilder to run off the same database, so the modules can display new workouts that are added.
I am programmer myself, so the more technical your response the better as I'd like to know as much as I can about how you plan to do the work.
