Adding functionality to an existing open-source audio player running on a Windows platform eg. a plug-in for Zinf or Winamp.
Any (1? OR more) of the following where suggested to me.
i) an A-B repeat feature (this allows a segment of audio to be played repeatedly;
ii) an audio crop tool (this allows the A-B segment to be saved as a separate file;
(The crop tool should not save the audio track as PCM audio and recompress but should edit the compressed audio in place ??" achieving this will require a deep understanding of the audio compression algorithm.)
iii) a time-scaling feature (this speeds up or slows down the audio without changing its pitch);
iv) automatic fade-out (invoked when the audio track finishes abruptly);
v) a hi-Q parametric equaliser (to highlight portions of the audio spectrum).
This is for a project for college so an explaination of the code and momentary' credit should go to me.
*Note deadline -Monday 2nd April May, be able to get a slight extension at request
## Deliverables
All plans and documentation in the creation of this software would be greatly appreciated as a report and knowledgeable understanding of the work undertaken is also needed.
