Code Review DirectX 5 3D Rendering App and Spec Upgrade to DX9

I have a DirectX 5.0 (I think--maybe 4!) app that takes 2D textures and renders them on 3D spheres (planets) and does other things as a space screen saver. The code/project has been dormant since 2000 and I'd like to revive the code to the point that it works again using the latest DirectX APIs. You will be bidding on the review of the code and specifying what would need to be done to have the code up and running again using the latest Visual Studio and DirectX APIs and an estimate of the time it would take to do the work. If you could get the code to work as is, that would be great, but not necessary for this request. The code was written in C++ using Visual Studio. ## Deliverables 1) Complete specification for the purpose of submitting a new Rentacoder project to have the code ported to the latest version of Visual Studio and DirectX. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
