C++ DLL with Embedded VB

What I need should be simple. All I need are two very short well documented programs. The first I need to be a visual basic program that calls a dll written in C++. I need you to write the dll. The second I need a embedded visual basic program to call the same dll. I would prefer the dll be something basic and straightforward. This is just for personal knowledge, however I know everyones time is valuable so I am willing to pay a reasonable sum for this information.
