I need a program written in C/C++? that when i put it in a directory, it loops through all the files in this directory and renames the files according to a pattern i specify.
For Example:
1) I stick this program in "C:\Pictures\" which is filled with files that follow a naming pattern (eg: [login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL], etc...)
2) I run the program which then asks me what pattern to remove from the filenames (eg: "pic_").
3) The program then loops through all the files in this directory, and removes the pattern i've selected, AND removes leading zero's from the files. For Example, when i type in "pic_" as the pattern to remove, ? "[login to view URL]" will be renamed to "[login to view URL]" "[login to view URL]" will be renamed to "[login to view URL]" etc...
4) the program displays the progress and what files got rename as it executes like this:
[login to view URL] was renamed to [login to view URL] - Success!
[login to view URL] was renamed to [login to view URL] - Success!
...
[login to view URL] was renamed to [login to view URL] - Success!
5) I will need both the exe version of the compiled code, and the .c source code that is well commented.
