C# NetworkStream Bailout

We began building a C# client application in house a while ago. The client communicates with existing server software that is freely accessable and runs under Windows (for testing). The communications protocol uses 'telnet' like commands sending ASCII text in standard call/response fashion.

Due to some internal staffing issues, we do not have the time to complete the project and are looking for a coder to touch up a few areas and fix a few bugs, specifically...

1) There is a bug with reading incoming server messages. Using TCPClient and [url removed, login to view](), the system is not accurately reading all responses from the server.

2) Progress meters are being used to show the value (0% to 100%) of some server variables. We would like to be able to use vertical progress meters for this feature.

Note: the goal is to complete this project ASAP. A short time after the satisfactory completion of the two above points, another phase of the project will become available to the coder. It will be a slightly larger budget.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).

## Platform

Our code is in VS 2005 Beta 2 and will be supplied to the coder via a http download site upon winning bid.

The server application is a proven and existing technology which we do not have the source code for. We will supply a link to download that software (fully functional and free of charge) along with the message syntax for the communications protocol. Further, we will provide the file which configures the server with simple instructions to get it working. The server and client can run on the same Windows machine at the same time without any problems.
