I am requesting help on a very simple, small project. I need a complete program written that will count cards dealt in a blackjack game. Here's what the program must do:
The program will ask the user to enter all cards dealt from the hand.
The user will enter all cards dealt from the hand. (ie K,J,3,etc)
The program must convert all card denominations into assigned values of either 1,0,or -1. (2 through 6 = 1, 7 through 9 = 0, 10 through Ace = -1)
The program will then add up all the cards' values (ie if the hand was 3, 6, K, J, A, 7 the sum would be 1 + 1 -1 -1 -1 + 0 = -1. This is the "count".
The program must then display the "count" to the user.
The program must then loop, continuing the steps above, but adding the "count" of the last hand to the "count" of the next hand giving a "running count" of all cards played.
It is very important that this program is written as simple as possible. It is for an intro to Java class so it shouldn't have anything too advanced. (simple input/output statements, strings, while loops, etc)
If I am satisfied with the program, I will contact the coder for some other simple additions and will pay for each thing added/changed.
