Cutting-Edge Cell Phone App in Java

**This is an exciting cutting-edge job for the right bidder with Java and mobile device experience!

**

Build a small Java-based cell-phone **MOCKUP** application that runs on all mainstream phones as well as Palm and similar Java-enabled mobile devices.

The goal at this stage is to develop a **DEMO** for a patent-pending process, in order to attract investors for the full rollout. To that end, the following features need **NOT** actually work (completely), but should look **AS IF** they were working, to clearly convey to investors the feasability and usefulness of the project.

**The application is mobile health guidance software for your cell phone, with a strong emphasis on food guidance.**

This **DEMO** edition that you will develop will be a **MOCKUP** of these final features - i.e. the following features need to be **SIMULATED** (seeded with some sample data to demo to investors), and need not actually work:

- Daily calorie counter: A screen to manually enter and add up calories, grams of fat, grams of carbohydrates, mg of salt, etc. consumed in a day. To make calorie counting easier, the system will come pre-loaded with databases of information on existing foods:

- Generic food database: A screen to select generic food items such as "one cup of coffee with cream" or "small french fries", showing ranges of calories, carbs, sodium etc.

- Brand-name food database: A screen to select brand-name food items such as "Big Mac", "Starbucks Latte", or supermarket foods such as "12 ounce can of Coca Cola" or "1 bowl of Cheerios with 1% milk".

## Deliverables

- Restaurant database by postal code or metropolitan location: Select the city you are in and a cell-phone based query to the central server will pull up the closest restaurants by category (includes chain restaurants and participating local restaurants). Further drill down into the restaurants menu by time of day (breakfast lunch, dinner) and compare items by nutritional content. Add to calorie counter as items are consumed.

- Personal phsyiological information screen: This screen will accept information such as weight, height, fat body-mass index (BMI), daily exercise regimen, and similar personal parameters. This information will be used by the software to calculate nutritional threshholds not to be overstepped, and/or make recommendations as to which restaurants or brand-name foods to consume next (using the remote nutritional database).

Again, what is needed at this stage is a **MOCKUP** of the above features, running on regular consumer cell phones.

**Deliverables:**

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire": Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights and patent rights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright & patent ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the Coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
