Goal: Bootable read/write Linux RAM Disk that interfaces directly with a USB Key Step 1: Minimal Linux RAM Disk using busybox and ulibc Step 2: RAM Disk should be bootable by CDROM or USB Key Step 3: The RAM Disk should look for a disk label that identifies a specific (predetermined) USB Key Step 4: RAM Disk should mount the USB Key read/write as either a new root fileystem or or into a /mnt/usb directory This project is very similar in spirit to a Knoppix boot CDROM (though minimal instead of full featured), but will use a CDROM/USB Key hybrid. Knoppix's main filesystem is read only by using a loop back device. We'd like the majority of the system to be read/write by utilizating a RAM Disk and a USB Key.
