I want a utility in zen cart which can add new downloadable products into zen cart. Each product will have multiple file formats, the utility will scan a folder for all files and add products such that product name = file name (without the extension), product description = file name, product types are the different extensions, eg if one file has a zip file and a rar file (with same filename but different extensions) then the single product will be added such that user has option of choosing RAR File or ZIP File to download (in zencart it is possible to add one file with multiple file types or extensions....) The utility should ask the zencart database login information and the folder to be scanned (which contains the downloadable files which are to be added to zencart), and automatically create the list of products, and add each product to the zencart database (with each product having multiple downloadable types based on extensions for each product's files) This is very simple work and basically you will have to investigate the database entries made when a digitally downloadable product is added to zencart. After that it should be pretty easy. Also, each time the utility runs, it should ask for the number of days for which the download link should remain active, and it should set this link expiry time also for each downloadable product( this value should be entered by user when the utility is run) Finally, all the files should be moved to the zencart downloads folder from the remote folder where they were originally stored Also, when a new product is being added, there should be a check to see that duplication of product names is not done I would prefer the script to be in PHP but Perl or CGI or basically any language that is typically supported by a Linux OS Based web host, is also ok with me Regards Arvind
