We have a bid endeavor of migrating an big library site to Drupal. We already have the bulk of the content, but want to have an expert help us in picking the right plugins and making sure they will handle the load we will be putting on the system.

You don't have to design the site, you just have to help us pick the right plugins to install and solve several doubts on Drupal management. In order to do that experience in Drupal and fluency in the english language are both required. We want to ask lots of questions and have meaningfull answers. We'd also like to have a dummy site (no design needed).

The task then would be to:

1. Create a list of the plugins that will have to be included

2. Create a list of things that need further development upon existing plugins (not develop them)

3. Install said plugins (in collaboration with us) on a server account that we shall provide with the required access

## Deliverables

Major issues that need solving:

# Digitalized Books

We currently have a lot of digitalized books. Those books are of two types:

1. A set of HTML pages with images on one directory, we want to be able to upload some of those either with a per book form or massively, through a zip file. We are ready to perform any operation (tidying, removing of headers/footers) we need to on the input data.

2. Either one or many PDFs. We want the possibility of downloading but we also want a nice scribd like client interface that will render the pages well

We have several questions:

* How do we include the images?

* What are their URLs?

* We want to put the same Dublin Core Info everywhere

* What about current URLs, can we keep them?

# Other contents

There are also other contents:

1. MP3 files (freely downloadable, it does not matter) We want to categorize those with Dublin Core.

2. ZIP files

# Website

How do we create pages where different sections can have "smart content" (ie a list of calendar events with certain criteria, already predefined).

# Calendar

We want to have a calendar much like that at [url removed, login to view]

# Users

We want to have five levels of users:

1. Administrator = Can do anything anywhere

2. Editor = Can create a book/event but only on a part of the site, can also authorize content on their part pf the site

3. Authors = Create and modify content, but not authorize, only on part of the site

4. Associates = Are the only ones who can access a set of pages

5. Participants = Can leave comments on pages that allow it

6. Anonymous

We have different zones on the site, How do we do this partition of the site? How do we specify it? Can we use tags?

# Navigation

How do we create a menu on the left side that is not a list of books (that would be too extensive), but that can be created by the admin or by editor, so that there are different menus on different parts of the site?

We also have an event system and want to be able to create events (expositions, concerts and some other types) and display them.

We have many books (about 2000) and a lot of pages (all in all is in the realm of 300.000 files).
