Affiliate Tracking

Need a web-based script and database to perform the following: 1. Sign members into a password protected area 2. Store several affiliate sites in a database file that generates a dynamic web page listing all of the affiliate sites for each individual member when they sign in. (The Marketplace) 3. Each link to the affiliate sites will have the member's User ID embedded in the link ## Deliverables Q: How will the code dynamically read my user’s login? It is up to the publisher to dynamically generate and add the SID to the tracking code of their advertiser links. Commission Junction reads and reports on this name value pair. Commission Junction does not generate the SID. Q: When a user logs in, will I have to hard code the SID to capture the information? The publishers’ site needs to dynamically generate the SID. During click-through, the SID then needs to be appended to the tracking code of their advertiser link. It is up to the publisher to decide how to implement the dynamic creation of their SID's. Commission Junction provides the capability for publishers to track where their referred actions (sales, leads, etc.) originate so that they can target and or reward their unique shoppers. This feature is made available through the implementation of the Shopper Identification, or SID tracking. How does the SID work? Publishers can add a Shopper ID (SID) to the tracking code of their advertiser links. Who can use the SmartRewards feature? Reward sites or Super Publishers are the most common users of the SID or SmartRewards program. However, any publisher who can dynamically generate and append the SID(s) to the tracking code of their advertiser links can utilize this feature. Things you should know about the SID: Commission Junction does not generate the SID. We merely track and report on any SID's included in transaction data. ? In order to utilize this functionality, a publisher Web site must dynamically generate SIDs for each visitor to their Web site and append the SID to the tracking code of their advertiser links. The SID can be up to 64 characters, and may include spaces.
