I would like an experienced coder to provide me with a program solution that executes a specific algorithm. I don't really mind about the language being used - I dont even care if it has a gui or not.
I have an excel workbook with 5000 sets of 6 numbers. ? The 6th number is considered a special number and I need it to be counted indepedently from the rest - but it should still be considered that each 6th number belongs to the sete.
The user of the program should be able to import a custom table with these numbers either from the excel worksheet or from a custom space delimited table included in a notepad and the program should do the following:
1. Print the most frequent appearing special (6th) number for all sets imported with all sets accounted.?
2. Print the most frequent appearing numbers for all sets imported with all sets accounted.?
3. If a set of 6 numbers appears more than 2 times as it is then print it.?
4. If 2 or more numbers happen to appear on the same set of 6 numbers together, then for all sets of numbers prin a general idea as to which numbers tend to appear most times together (friendly numbers) and for how many sets. For example if a first set is 15 20 12 14 13 17 and another one is 12 20 15 19 02 01. Then the message should say: "In X=2 sets of sixes the numbers 15, 20, 12 - not including the special one- appear together". ? Results should be printed only in these cases: a) if sets=2-10 then print result only if for all data in all sets exist 4 friendly numbers, b) if sets=10-20 then print result only if for data in all sets exist ? 3 friendly numbers, c) if sets>20 then print result only if data in all sets exist 2 friendly numbers. I repeat that the special 6th number should be filtered out in this algorithm
5. Do the same as 4 but include the special 6th number.
A table would look like this....
15 20 12 14 13 **17**
20 18 19 02 01 **3**
40 30 14 15 18 **9**
etc
