ASP.NET MVC 3 or 4 C# -- Create 'Discussion' Pages

I am creating a new application for a client and am behind schedule. I need help with some simple pages to begin. If handled well, this could turn into much more work over the next few months. The application is being designed and developed for a residential community consisting of about 2,000 residents / homeowners, etc. The application is going to provide the residents with a central location to find information, to interact with one another, and to know what is happening in and around the community. This application is being built using ASP.NET MVC version 4, and C# is the programming language being used. SQL Server 2008 is the backend database, and I have coded a complete repository and unit of work patterns using Entity Framework to handle access to and from the database. I am using ASP.NET forms authentication to facilitate the sign in for residents into the application. Finally, I am using Telerik KendoUI components along with other jQuery plugins. This assignment is for the creation of a Community Message board, that will have the following pages: 1). A single page that will list the available and active message boards. Currently, there would be only nine (9) messages boards for topics like: General Discussion, "Can You Recommend" where residents post information about service and goods providers that they have worked with in the past, Travel Talk, etc. This page would simply list the available boards. 2). When a resident clicks on the link for a board, they would be taken to a page listing discussions for that board that have been posted. I would like this section to have a similar look-and-feel as the newest release of the Basecamp software (which you can see an example of here: <[login to view URL]>. I would want only the discussions and file upload sections (no to-do lists or calendaring functions).
