We have an internal corporate website that we use for organization or data between our corporate office and our outside sales reps.
I would like to incorporate an "open source" or "inexpensive" chat function so that outside reps can communicate to the corporate office without having to call or email in.
See these links for examples:

We want it to be very slim/streamlined like Gmail or FB chat. positioned at the lower screen.
Experience with Chat would be preferred.
There are a few questions I have about implementation:
1) We have a coder who is weekly working on our site. I don't want this to interfere with what he does, we can get him involved if needed, but I don't necessarily want to distract him from other priorities.
2) This isn't a "group" chat in the sense that we don't want user "joe" to see user "bob" messages to corporate.
3) The windows would only be between the rep and corporate. So the only person "joe" can chat with is "admin" the only person that "bob" can chat with is admin. Bob and Joe can't "see" or chat with each other.
4) On our site each user has a log in, but some people "share" logins. 5 people logged in as admin for example. How will this functionality play out in this scenario? Would the chat window be displayed and real time on all screens that "admin" is logged into? (this is what we would want)
So when Joe chats with Admin he is actually chatting with 5 people all logged in a admin.
