Chrome plugin

Write a simple template of a plug-in for Google Chrome. The plug-in has to open a sub-window inside the browser window, under the currently displayed web page. An example of what I mean are "Zotero" for Firefox, or Internet Explorer "Developer tools". In this window there is a html content loaded from our server. The plug-in detects new URL in the main browser window and sends it to my server (PHP), and the server responds with content for the window underneath. The new window is re-sizeable and close-able. Additionally, it contains an always-visible text field extending troughout the length of the window. If user enters some text, the contents of it are sent to the server and the content in the sub-window is updated. The server-side script is a simplistic template: Just receive the request from the plug-in, and return only the request text. I will fill in the content of this script. The objective of this work is to give me a template that I understand and can develop further later on. Therefore the coding style must be clear and with plenty of comments and references to relevant documentation. Milestones will be released upon completion of usefull, tested chunks of this work.
