Create a script that grabs information from a site and store it in a db

Hello, I am full-time freelancer with over 6 years of experience in server side developement using PHP. I have special interest in process automation and have developed many need based tools for my clients. I have worked extensively on mysql database manipulations, pdf generation, emails, CSV, XML, excel, forms etc using PHP. I am expert in manipulating HTML dom and presenting data in required format. I think I have clearly understood your requirements and summing it below for your reference. 1. You should be able to chose 3 or less websites from your 17 canteen websites. 2. The script should bring you back the current meal plan for these 3 sites and store it in the database 3. You want it to be run through a schedule job. This would need expertise in the following areas: 1. Data parsing from the canteen websites. This would need to read from the URL. 2. Fetch the results and store them on the database. Needs database-PHP interactions skills. 3. Scheduling the cron jobs. 4. A way throught the UI to manage the operations you want. (Like selecting the 3/17 canteens) I will provide you with a solution that is highly configurable with plenty of comments so that most of the future configuration changes (if any) could be done by you.
