I need to decode the CD Key (or Product Key) from the W2K/WinXP registries in VB 6. It's suppose to be located here: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\DigitalProductId This is NOT the ProductId located here: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\ProductId It's the same key you enter when you install Windows 2000 or Windows XP. The CD Key I'm talking about is plainly listed in your WINNT folder in the 2nd line of the $winnt$.inf text file, but I need it from the registry. Please bid only if you're 100% sure how to do this, or have done this before. AIDA32 ([login to view URL]) does this if you want to see proof that it can be done. NT 4.0 doesn't seem to encode the CD Key, so no decoding is needed.
